Soft as a summer breeze
blowing through the leafy trees
fluttering in rays of gold
such a pretty sight behold
butterflies with wings of blue
on the roses bought by you
memories of lovely days
spent beneath the summer haze.
wish we could go back to then
start our love all over again
this time I would be true
would not risk that I'd lose you
but too late the winter rain
took your love away again

Thank you I intended it to be cheery when I saw the picture and then it took a turn on its own

I hope the winter rain hasn't washed everything away again?

No things going ok here at minute, don't know why this poem took a sad turn as I expected it to be happy when I started but the words took their own hold

I know how that feels - It's odd when they have a will of their own.

You were dreaming of the summer, and winter crept up on you. Life's like that, and your poems reflect life.
